Job description
Due to expansion our Client seeks an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a dynamic, fast paced environment and would suit candidate who has strong attention to detail, exceptional organisation and time management skills and an understanding of accountancy principles. The Assistant Management Accountant would require strong analytical and Excel skills.
Duties of the Assistant Management Accountant include:
- Key supplier reconciliations
- Reconciliation tracking and reporting & variance resolution.
- Aiding in the completion of the reconciliation monthly cycle
- Assisting with monthly margin analysis
- Assisting with ad hoc product analysis
- Building rapport with supplier, challenging charges, and obtaining credits
- Product tariff management
- Wholesale and customer pricing analysis
- Support the monthly Management Accounts process.
- Monthly close journals
- Assisting with P&L preparation
- Support the Balance sheet reconciliation process.
- Liaising with team members and other teams
- Ad-hoc analysis to support the Finance Team
Requirements for the Assistant Management Accountant include:
- IT literate with excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Ideally suited to someone nearing completion of AAT or starting CIMA / ACCA
- Sage 200 experience is preferred.
- Excellent analytical & organisational skills
- Reconciliation experience
- You will have both excellent verbal and written communication skills able to deal with key stake holders at all levels.
- You will be a positive, pro-active, and personable individual who will fit in well with this dynamic small team of individuals.
- You will be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines without direct, daily supervision.
