Job description
Our client, a market leading investment platform, has an opening for an integral member of the team. They are looking for a Qualified Management Accountant
Key responsibilities as Management Accountant include:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepararation of monthly management accounts, including Accruals, Prepayments and Fixed Assets Register.
- Analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost improvement.
- Expertise in financial commentary and variance analysis to highlight key financial performance indicators.
- Reconcile Balance sheet accounts and ensure there no discrepancies in the reports.
- Key involvement in the preparation of annual year-end audits.
- Cost Control & Efficiency:
- Analyse costs and recommend areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.
- Work with department heads to monitor departmental budgets and control costs.
- Ensure internal controls and accounting procedures are adhered to for accurate financial reporting.
- Management Support:
- Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Work closely with other departments to interpret financial data, enabling better decision-making.
- Systems & Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development of financial systems and processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes for more efficient financial management.
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA with financial services industry experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts, with the ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
