Job description
Partnered with a multi-national company based in Hemel Hempstead, we are hiring for a Financial Accountant on a full time permanent basis with a 50% remote working model offered.
As the Financial Accountant for EMEA, you will be a key partner to the Finance Manager EMEA, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and tax compliance. Your role will be integral in streamlining month-end and year-end closing processes while actively identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Closing: Play an essential role in delivering month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Holding Company Reporting: Oversee the financial results reporting and closing for the holding company.
- Technical Accounting: Manage the accounting processes for reporting on sales allowances, inventory, and IFRS 16 leases.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, update accounting policies, and contribute to the production of annual statutory accounts. Work closely with external auditors for seamless audits.
- Internal Audit: Assist with internal audits across subsidiaries, identifying and implementing business process improvements.
- Tax Compliance: Support tax compliance activities, including preparing monthly VAT returns for the UK and the Netherlands, providing analysis for corporation tax computations, and handling transfer pricing, PAYE settlements, and Country-by-Country reporting.
- Other Compliance: Ensure adherence to banking, Companies House submissions, and ONS reporting requirements.
- Team Support: Provide comprehensive support to the Finance Manager EMEA, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.
Essential criteria to be considered for this role:
- Min top 20 practice trained
- Must be ACA or ACCA qualified with a min of 1-2 years industry experience
